SiriusXM x Howard University: The Hip Hop Minor
In partnership with Howard University, SiriusXM is proud to sponsor the launch of the university’s new Hip Hop Minor, an academic program that recognizes hip hop as one of the most influential forces of our time.
To introduce the program, we created the campaign “When You Study Hip Hop, You Study It All,” a statement that reflects the genre’s wide-reaching impact.
From music and fashion to history, language, activism, and entrepreneurship, the initiative shows that hip hop is more than a musical tradition. It is a powerful lens for understanding the cultural, historical, and political forces that shape our world.
We aim to inspire students to enroll in the minor and carry their knowledge forward to help shape what comes next.
