SiriusXM x Howard University: The Hip Hop Minor
In partnership with Howard University, SiriusXM is proud to sponsor the launch of the university’s new Hip Hop Minor—an academic program that recognizes hip hop as one of the most influential forces of our time.
To introduce the program, we created the campaign “When You Study Hip Hop, You Study It All”—a statement that reflects the genre’s extraordinary impact. From music and fashion to history, language, activism, and entrepreneurship, this initiative affirms that hip hop is more than a musical tradition—it’s a powerful lens for examining the cultural, historical, and political forces that shape our world.
Our hope is to inspire students to explore the minor and carry that knowledge forward—to help shape what’s next.
